Thanksgiving. It's not about slaving away in the kitchen, the way it used to be. Numerous Lexington restaurants will be in full Turkey Day mode, doing the work for you, next week.
■ Le Deauville, 199 North Limestone, will serve turkey and traditional Thanksgiving favorites as well as its regular dinner menu. It's open noon to 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Reservations are recommended. Call (859) 246-0999.
■ Wallace Station Deli and Bakery, 3854 Old Frankfort Pike, will have takeout Thanksgiving dinner. The menu includes roast turkey breast, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, Joan's creamy spinach casserole, cranberry relish, rolls and pecan or pumpkin pie, for $24.95 a person. ■ A la Lucie, 159 N. Limestone, will be open noon to 4 p.m. Thanksgiving with a five-course Thanksgiving dinner for $35 each. It includes a choice of prime rib, turkey, ham or fish, traditional sides, desserts, soup and salad. Reservations are required. Call (859) 252-5277.
■ Furlongs, 130 W. Tiverton Way, has fried and smoked turkeys for Thanksgiving, with sides as well as jambalaya, bread pudding, and peanut butter pie. The deadline for orders is Tuesday. Call (859) 523-5500. Customers can pick up their orders all week and the restaurant will be open until 2 p.m. Thanksgiving day for pickups.
■ Bourbon 'n' Toulouse, 829 E. Euclid Ave., has purchased local free-range, grass-fed turkeys from "Farmer Joe" Weber in Salvisa, and will be cooking them into a peppery, sage infused Turkey Étouffée. The Thanksgiving Special, available Sunday through Wednesday, of Turkey Étouffée and a side of Cajun Stuffing is $8. Quarts of the Turkey Étouffée will be available to take home for $20. ■ Get Thanksgiving goodies from the Lexington Farmers Market, downtown Saturday at the Cheapside Pavilion, where they will have winter vegetables, artisan cheese and breads, heritage meats and more.
■ The Bluegrass Farmers' Market will have lamb, beef, pork, chicken, farm fresh eggs, baked goods and fall vegetables 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Azur Restaurant & Patio, 3070 Lakecrest Circle.

■ Thai & Mighty Noodle Bowls, 1030 South Broadway, will have a launch party from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Friday for Nourish Your Neighborhood, which partners with local restaurants who are willing to create an opportunity for patrons to purchase a meal for those who are hungry, especially children. On Friday, 20 percent of the sales will benefit Nourish Your Neighborhood.
■ Insomnia Cookies, 433 Jersey St., is open. Get a coupon on their Facebook page for a free cookie, through Sunday. It's open noon to 3 a.m. daily.
■ Country Boy Brewing, 436 Chair Ave., is having its second annual Chili Cookoff 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with all proceeds benefitting God's Pantry Food Bank. It will be $7 a bowl, or $5 a bowl with canned-good donation.
■ From 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Paris will hold Holiday Hop downtown. RoosterBrew will open from 4 to midnight, Knights of Columbus will be cooking hot dogs and Liam's Fancy Duo will play from 7 to 9 p.m.
