Lexington native Hopkins to guest on 'Private Practice'

Lexington native Josh Hopkins begins a five-episode arc on ABC's Private Practice, starting this week.

The Grey's Anatomy spin-off airs at 10 p.m. Thursday after its parent show, and stars Kate Walsh as Addison Forbes Montgomery, a doctor who had both McDreamy and McSteamy before she hauled it out of Seattle for the warmer clime of L.A.

Now she'll have Hopkins, as plastic surgeon Noah Barnes, a hot love interest until whatever secret he has comes out and ruins yet another McToo-Good-to-Be-True lustfest. According to an ABC news release, Barnes "turns out to be more than she bargained for."

Hopkins, 38, has had extended guest-starring runs on Brothers & Sisters and Cold Case. His most recent starring role was in Swingtown, last summer's cult show about swingers in 1970s Chicago, but CBS did not pick it up for a second season.
