Sept. 4: If you missed it the first time around, here's another chance to catch the dazzling pilot episode of Glee. It's a music-filled drama-comedy that hits all the right notes. 9 p.m., Fox.

Sept. 5: There's plenty of trash talk going on in the season finale of the Bill Engvall Show when Bill quarrels with a neighbor over garbage cans. 9:30 p.m., TBS.

Sept. 6: Friday Night Lights is one of those examples of a good movie that has turned into a terrific TV show. But the 2004 film starring Billy Bob Thornton is well worth a look. 8:30 p.m., NBC.

Sept. 7: These days, holidays mean marathons! Labor Day's back-to-back-to-backs include Dirty Jobs (Discovery), Law & Order (TNT), NCIS (USA), The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family), Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Travel), Criminal Minds (A&E) and The Golden Girls (Hallmark).
