TV Remote: 'Wife Swap,' Cornwell and country awards

TV highlights this weekend:

April 16: Wife Swap produces another wacky twist, as a survivalist family preparing for the end of the world in 2012 trades with an optimistic Livermore, Calif., couple that dotes on their kids, particularly a teen golf prodigy. 8 p.m., ABC.

April 17: Best-selling crime writer Patricia Cornwell gets more TV treatment in The Front. This time, ambitious D.A. Monique Lamont (Andie MacDowell) is drawn to the 40-year-old murder of a young blind woman. Diahann Carroll also stars. 9 p.m., Lifetime.

April 18: Lady Antebellum leads the Academy of Country Music award nominees with seven, followed by Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert at six each. But Lexington native Laura Bell Bundy has to hope that come Monday morning, everyone will be talking about her performance of her hit single, Giddy on Up. 8 p.m., CBS.
