A former Miss Kentucky and her dad are among the 11 teams featured on the CBS reality competition The Amazing Race.
If they make it to the bitter end, Mallory Ervin, Miss Kentucky 2009, and her dad, Gary, will have traveled 32,000 miles over four continents and will have visited Bangladesh, Ghana and the Arctic Circle. The winning team gets $1 million.
The 11 teams that will compete on the 17th season of the show, which has contestants racing around the world, were announced Wednesday.
Mallory, 24, and Gary, 53, from Morganfield in Western Kentucky, each said the toughest part of the race would be dealing with a headstrong partner.
