On Monday, ABC 36, WTVQ, will add another hour of its locally produced morning show in its weekday lineup.
Good Day Kentucky will be a 9 a.m. extension of Good Morning Kentucky.
The lineup will include Doug High, Lauren Gawthrop and Meteorologist Michael Estimé and will focus on "the best the Bluegrass has to offer."
The show, which will be shot on a virtual set, will feature local guests, relaxed discussion topics with on-air talent, cooking segments, as well as a recurring segment known as "Michael on the Move," which follows Michael Estimé live and on location as he highlights local events and businesses around Central Kentucky.
"We consistently hear how much viewers love the team chemistry between Doug, Lauren and Michael on Good Morning Kentucky. This exciting, new show gives our talent a chance to be themselves in a fun and relaxed program," said General Manager Chris Aldridge. "We're proud of our morning team and are excited to give them another hour each day to engage with our viewers in Central Kentucky."
ABC 36 also will be rebranding their Noon News as Good Afternoon Kentucky, featuring High, Gawthrop and Estimé.
