Elk foundation to raffle Powell glass sculpture

The Wilderness Road Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is raffling off Centre College professor Stephen Rolfe Powell's Honey Nippled Viper at its Feb. 6 banquet in Danville.

Tickets are $100 each for a chance at the 3-foot tall glasswork valued at $26,000. Only 300 tickets are being sold.

This is the second consecutive year Powell has donated a piece to the foundation, which seeks to preserve elk and other wildlife in their natural habitats. You do not have to be present at the banquet to win the colorful piece.
