The following sections of roads will be paved this week:

■ North Broadway, resurfacing and replacing guardrails from Cane Run Road to Judy Lane. There will be lane closings and lane shifts at night and overnight.

■ Russell Cave Road, resurfacing from New Circle Road to Radcliff/Winburn Drive. Possible lane closings and lane shifts at night and overnight.

Reed Lane between Clays Mill Road and Pin Oak Drive and Providence Road between Cassidy Avenue and Andover Road will be blocked from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday for repaving.

Major traffic impact

Tates Creek Road will be closed at East Hickman Road through 5 a.m. Aug. 4 to replace a culvert. A detour is in place.

North Limestone will be closed between Arceme and Devonia avenues through Thursday to replace a manhole. The suggested detour is Arceme to Bryan Avenue to Devonia to North Limestone.

Old Paris Road will be closed one block at a time between Laclede Avenue and Northwood Drive through Aug. 8 for sanitary sewer work. The suggested detour is North Broadway/Paris Road to New Circle Road to Old Paris Road.

Blue Grass Parkway is reduced to one lane eastbound and westbound between mileposts 67 and 69 in Woodford County for a bridge replacement on Ky. 33. Expect delays on both roads.

East Loudon Avenue is closed between Winchester Road and Floyd Drive through Friday for roadway reconstruction. Use side-street access to East Loudon from Seventh Street. Eastland Drive is also closed at Loudon. East Loudon will be closed between Shropshire Avenue and Meadow Lane through Oct. 3 for street reconstruction.

Crews are widening and realigning Liberty Road from Todds Road to Gerardi Road. The speed limit through the project is 35 mph.

Significant traffic impact

The parking lane and possibly the right lane of outbound West Main Street will be blocked between Algonquin and Felix streets 24 hours a day through 3 p.m. Thursday for construction work.

The bike lane and a portion of the eastbound lane of Euclid Avenue will be blocked between Marquis and South Ashland avenues through Saturday to replace the sidewalk for 2nd National Bank.

Washington Avenue will be closed between Rose Street and Gladstone Avenue through Aug. 8 for construction. The suggested detour is Rose Street to Huguelet Drive to South Limestone to Washington.

A portion of Shawnee Avenue will be blocked at Oak Hill Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Tuesday for utility work.

The following will be blocked Monday and Tuesday for utility work:

■ Rose Street northbound between Euclid Avenue and East Maxwell Street.

■ West Fourth Street westbound between North Broadway and Bourbon Avenue.

■ The right inbound and outbound lanes of South Broadway between Pine and Maxwell streets.

The southbound lane of Clays Mill Road will be blocked between Neal Drive and Stone Road Tuesday and Wednesday for utility work.

The eastbound right-turn lane of Southland Drive will be blocked at Nicholasville Road Tuesday and Wednesday for pavement repairs.

The inbound right lane of Harrodsburg Road will be blocked at Blue Ash Drive Tuesday through Thursday to install utility poles.

The inbound lane of North Limestone will be blocked between York and Eddie streets Wednesday and Thursday for pavement repair.

The inbound-outbound lanes of Beaumont Centre Lane will be narrowed at Allegheny Way from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Wednesday to build turn lanes.

The southbound lane of Woodland Avenue will be closed between Hilltop and Columbia avenues through Friday to install utilities.

The westbound lane of Hilltop Avenue will be closed between University Drive and Woodland Avenue through Friday to install utilities.

The southbound lanes of University Avenue will be closed between Cooper Drive and Hilltop Avenue through Aug. 22 for electrical work. Traffic will be diverted to the east side of the medians with one lane going each way.

Twelfth Street will be closed between North Broadway and North Limestone through Jan. 31, 2009, to reconstruct the street and install new sewers, curbing, sidewalk and pavement.

Appomattox Road will be blocked through Friday to replace a culvert. The suggested detour is Della Drive to Beacon Hill Road to Holly Springs Drive.

Algonquin Street will be closed between West Main and West Short streets through Thursday for construction work.

Moderate traffic impact

The demolition of buildings on South Limestone will have this impact on traffic:

■ South Limestone will be closed between Vine and Main streets from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Aug. 30. The suggested detour is East Vine to Rose to East Main to North Limestone.

■ The left-turn lane of South Limestone will be closed as needed for demolition safety and work area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Aug. 30. The right lane of West Second Street will be blocked between North Limestone and North Upper Street Tuesday for utility work.

The inbound right lane of North Broadway and the westbound lane of West Fourth Street will be blocked Monday and Tuesday for pavement repair.

The westbound lane of Lane Allen Road will be blocked between Harrodsburg Road and Garden Springs Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for pavement repair.

The left side parking area of North Limestone will be blocked between West Sixth Street and Alabama Avenue Wednesday and Thursday for pavement repair.

The southbound lane of South Forbes Road will be blocked between Leestown Road and Lisle Industrial Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for pavement repair.

Old Towne Walk will be blocked as needed between Hatter Lane and Towne Square Park from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday for utility work.

Garrett Avenue will be blocked as needed between Versailles Road and the end of the street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday for utility work.

Lawrence Street will be closed between East Maxwell and Pine streets through 4 p.m. Friday for sewer work. The Lawrence Street end of Umstead Alley will be blocked to South Upper Street through 4 p.m. Friday, also for sewer work.

Rose Street will be closed at Washington Avenue from 7 a.m. Friday through 8 p.m. Saturday for utility work. The suggested detour is Columbia Avenue to Woodland Avenue to Hilltop Avenue to University Drive to Huguelet Drive.

The eastbound lane of West Fourth Street will be blocked between Bourbon Avenue and North Broadway from Tuesday through Aug. 4 for utility work.

One lane at a time of Henry Clay Boulevard will be partially blocked between Carolyn Drive and Delaware Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 8 to work on the bridge.

Lanes of Meadow Park will be blocked as needed between Bryan Avenue and Oak Hill Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday for utility work.

The westbound lane of Hilltop Avenue will be blocked between University Drive and Woodland Avenue through Aug. 8 to install utilities. Traffic will be maintained.

Saunier Street will be blocked from West Short Street to the north side of the Lexington Opera House through Oct. 11 for remodeling of the Opera House. There will be local access only from East Second Street.

Meadow Park will be blocked from Bryan Avenue and Oak Hill Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday to install water service.
