The fire apparently started in a Herbie that was standing beside a storage building at the rear of 142 Ashton Drive, Sea said.
Flames spread from the Herbie to the outbuilding and then to the home at 142 Ashton, firefighters said. The second home, at 144 Ashton Drive, then also caught fire.
Investigators haven't determined what started the fire in the Herbie, Sea said.
No injuries were reported.
