Suspect in 33-year-old murder turns himself in

A Kentucky man suspected of murdering his brother-in-law 33 years ago turned himself in to authorities on Thursday.

Billy Ray Crisp, 59, of Pikeville was wanted by Ohio authorities in connection with the murder of Woodrow Perroud at a rest stop in Pike County, Ohio, in 1975, according to Kentucky State Police.

Crisp had been reported missing for nearly two weeks. Ohio authorities issued a warrant for his arrest after that. On Thursday evening, he turned himself in to state police in Pikeville.

Both Perroud and Crisp were from the lower Johns Creek area of Pike County, Ky., state police said.
