A Mercer County man involved in a fiery car wreck Tuesday was in serious condition at University of Kentucky Hospital Wednesday morning, UK public relations officials said.
Clayton Lane, 32, who lives on Shawnee Drive in Harrodsburg, was driving a 1998 Honda west on U.S. 68 about 7 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control of the vehicle, according to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle struck a rock wall at Oak Hill Farms, 1392 Lexington Road. Lane's car then overturned and caught fire.

Sheriff's deputies said speed and alcohol contributed to the crash.
Lane was flown to UK Hospital.
