Lexington man sentenced to 69 years in prison

A Lexington man was sentenced to 69 years in prison for robbing three Georgetown gas stations last year.

Isaiah Lamar Robinson, 21, was ordered to pay $19,000 in restitution to the victims of the robberies in a sentencing hearing in U.S. District Court in Lexington.

Robinson has admitted that he robbed the Shell gas station on East Main Street on Nov. 27; the Showalter Shell station on South Broadway on Dec. 17; and the Mary Lynn Drive Shell station on Dec. 25.

Robinson has also admitted he shot a clerk in the hand during the East Main Street robbery, and he shot a clerk in the leg at the Mary Lynn Drive station.

Robinson was assisted by four other Lexington men. They pleaded guilty in April and already had been sentenced.
