U.S. Sen. Joe Biden, who is running for vice president with Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, will be in Louisville on Wednesday night for a fund-raiser.
The Delaware senator also will hold a public rally Wednesday afternoon at Warder Park in Jeffersonville, Ind., but tickets are required. They can be obtained at http://in.barackobama.com/JeffersonvilleChange.

The fund-raiser will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Louisville's downtown Marriott. The cost is $28,500 a couple to attend dinner with Biden, said Kenya McGruder, the Kentucky director for the Obama/Biden campaign.
A photo reception will cost $10,000 per couple. Preferred viewing at the general reception is $2,500 a person. Admission to the general reception is $1,000 a person.

Recent polls show Republican presidential nominee John McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, holding a substantial lead over Obama and Biden in Kentucky.
