A body of a man was found Thursday after an early morning fire at his home in Pulaski County.
At 4:06 a.m., the Ferguson Volunteer Fire Department, the Somerset Fire Department and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department responded to a structure fire on Daultons Drive in Somerset.
The initial call indicated that the resident, Gary Lee Whitson, might be inside the mobile home, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department said.
Emergency personnel found Whitson's body inside the home as the fire was being extinguished, the sheriff's office said.
Whitson, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene, at 5:25 a.m., Pulaski County Deputy Coroner Anthony Gossett said. No one else was injured in the fire.
Whitson's body was sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
At this time, there is no indication of foul play, but investigators are awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the cause of death, the sheriff's office said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, the sheriff's office said.
