Lexington authorities are holding three suspects in connection with a home invasion incident on Woodhill Drive late Friday night in which a victim was assaulted by robbers wielding an assault rifle and a handgun.
Lodged in the Metro Detention Center on first-degree robbery charges are Cheyenne Faircloth, 28, George Gilliam, 31, and Samuel Simpson, 27, all of Lexington.

The three were arrested after Lexington police units were dispatched to the 2400 block of Woodhill Drive at about 11:13 p.m. Friday to investigate a home-invasion complaint.
According to police, two residents told them that suspects entered the home armed with an AK47 assault rifle and a handgun.
One victim was assaulted during the incident, and later transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Patrol officers checked the area, assisted by investigators from the police department's Personal Crimes Section, and arrested the three suspects.
An investigation was continuing Saturday, and police said additional charges might be filed.
