Incidents reported in Tates Creek area

Lexington police are investigating several reports of suspicious behavior and attempted abductions in the Tates Creek Road area in which victims gave police similar descriptions of suspects.

On Sunday, a woman reported that three men in a white Lincoln Town Car were driving around the parking lot of her apartment complex about 10 p.m. "acting suspiciously," Lexington police said.

On Monday, a woman from a different apartment complex told police she was approached by three men after pulling into her parking lot and getting out of her vehicle. She told police the men grabbed her and attempted to force her into their vehicle. That vehicle also was described as a white Lincoln Town Car.

And Tuesday, a woman told police she was followed by a white Lincoln Town Car in the Tates Creek Road area.

All of the victims told police the men inside the car were in their early 20s and had muscular builds. The car was described as a 1990s model Lincoln Town Car, possibly with a landau roof covering the rear section. One victim said there might have been a tear in the roof.

Anyone with information about the incidents should call Lexington police at (859) 258-3700 or Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020.
