A pedestrian on crutches died Thursday after he was hit by a truck on an Eastern Kentucky road, Kentucky State Police said.
Bentley Brock, 75, of Arjay, was attempting to cross U.S. 119 near the Wallins community of Harlan County when he was struck by a 2006 Ford F-350 about 6:30 p.m.

The truck driver, Jeffrey W. Shanks, 47, of Rosspoint, tried to avoid Brock who walked into the path of the truck, state police said.
Brock was taken to Harlan Appalachian Healthcare Hospital, where he died.
Charges are not expected to be filed against Shanks, state police said.
