A Floyd County man was killed early Tuesday morning in a wreck.
Barry Collins, 30, of Minnie, was southbound on Ky. 466 near Melvin when he lost control of his 2005 Scion, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.

About 12:45 a.m., the vehicle dropped off the left shoulder of the road, crossed the center line and then struck a tree. Collins was pronounced dead by the Floyd County deputy coroner.
A passenger was taken to the McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital, where he was treated and released, according to state police.
