Kentucky State Police are investigating a head-on collision early Sunday in Rowan County that killed one man and injured two others.
Michael Lucas, 20 of Owingsville, was pronounced dead at the scene after a westbound Ford pickup driven by Daniel Thompson of Morehead, crossed the center line on US 60 near Morehead about 3:25 a.m. The truck hit Lucas's 2000 Ford Mustang, which was traveling east, police say.

Thompson, 27, and a passenger, Matthew Crouch, 23 of Pikeville, were injured. Crouch was in stable condition at St. Claire Medical Center, while Thompson was taken to University of Kentucky Medical Center where he was in critical condition. Neither Thompson nor Crouch was wearing a seat belt but Lucas was, according to police.
