A woman from Ironton, Ohio, died in a fiery crash on Interstate 64 in Shelby County early Saturday morning.
Patricia L. Browning, 28, was driving a Chevrolet sedan west when she hit a guard rail, then crashed into the rear of a Ford pickup. The car then crossed the median and went into the eastbound lanes, where it struck a tractor-trailer head on and caught fire at 12:24 a.m., state police said. Browning was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the pickup truck and the tractor-trailer were not injured. Police said Browning was wearing a seat belt.
