An off-duty Lebanon police officer was found shot to death at his home Tuesday.
David M. Ford, 40, lived on Graham Road in Taylor County. His wife, Tonya Ford, found his body at 1:07 p.m., Kentucky State Police said in a press release.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner's office. An autopsy has been scheduled.
State police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.

Ford had worked for the Lebanon Police Department for three and a half years.
"He was not only a member of our department but a friend who we trusted and relied on," Lebanon Police Chief Shelton Young said in the release.
