Police had no suspects Monday in a pipe bomb explosion that destroyed a mailbox in Corbin, authorities said.
Members of the Kentucky State Police's hazardous devices unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives gathered evidence Sunday at 761 Moberly Bend Road in Corbin, said Lt. Kevin Nally of the state police's special operations branch.
No one was injured in Saturday night's blast, he said.
The bomb appeared to be homemade, Nally said. There were no other similar reports in the area, he said.
