Jury selection was scheduled to begin Monday in a Laurel County man's murder trial in Madison County.
Douglas Wayne Hall II of Corbin also is charged with complicity to commit murder, criminal attempt to commit murder and complicity to commit robbery and burglary in the case.
In May of 2006, police arrested Hall and Tony Clayton Hodge, also of Laurel County. They charged the men in the slaying of Margaret Faye Jackson, 56. They were also charged with attempted murder in the shooting and stabbing of Mitchell Turner, 37, during a robbery at Jackson's home on McKee Road east of Berea, according to authorities.
In September 2007, Hodge pleaded guilty to charges of murder, attempted murder, first-degree burglary and first-degree robbery. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
