A Henderson man was arrested Saturday in Richmond after he allegedly assaulted an EMS worker who attempted to help him.
Richmond police and EMS units found Nicholas G. Martin, 27, passed out in a parked vehicle in the 1000 block of Blackwell Drive at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Richmond police say. Martin woke up as one of the EMS workers attempted to rouse him and Martin punched the worker in the stomach. Police say Martin got out of the vehicle and tried to continue his attack on the EMS worker, but he was subdued by officers.
Martin has been charged with third-degree assault and alcohol intoxication. He was released from Madison County jail Saturday on a $7,500 cash bond.
