The warehouses at A.Arnold & Sons on Nandino Boulevard were stacked to the roof with more than 500,000 cases of Girl Scout cookies that arrived Monday and were distributed to Girl Scout and Brownie troops in Fayette County. Cookie booths will be set up at 50 local retail locations and at Fayette Mall through March 22.
Girl Scouts has also formed Operation Cookie Drop , where cookies can be purchased and shipped to soldiers in Kentucky and around the world as well as police and firefighters. Since 2003 Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road has donated more than 60,500 cookies to the military.
