A new battery recycling program has been organized by the Lexington Environmental Commission, Bluegrass PRIDE (Personal Responsibility In a Desirable Environment), and Good Foods Market and Café.
Batteries can be recycled at The Arboretum on Alumni Drive; Bluegrass PRIDE, 3120 Pimlico Parkway, Suite 126; the Lexington Public Library on Main Street; Good Foods Market, 455 Southland Drive; or the Fayette County Extension Office, 1140 Red Mile Place.
Alkaline, lithium, nickel cadmium, nickel metal hydride and lithium ion batteries will be accepted.
Wet batteries and car batteries will not.
