Lexington police arrested a man for drunken driving after he rammed his Ford Bronco into a city salt truck just after midnight Sunday in south Lexington.
Christopher Presley, 31, totaled his Bronco and snapped off the plow from the front of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's truck, which was stopped in the right turn lane from Man O' War to Pimlico Parkway.
The salt truck driver had stopped so the vehicle to check the equipment and Presley misjudged the clearance, police said. Presley was charged with driving under the influence and no proof of insurance. The salt truck driver complained of neck and knee pain but wasn't hospitalized.
