A teenager staying up late to play Xbox smelled smoke from a fire that was burning in his family's apartment building.
No one was injured in the blaze.
The fire, which began about 3 a.m. on U.S. 60 in Polksville, leveled the building, fire officials said.
The building was home to two businesses, a children's new and used clothing shop and an antique collectibles shop. The building's owner, Phillip Barber, lived in an apartment in the back of the building with his wife, 15-year-old son, and a baby.
