A Manchester man died after a crash in Knott County early Tuesday.
Joshua Mills drove a 1999 Dodge Caravan into the back end of a tractor-trailer while headed east on Ky. 80 at Rockfork just before 7 a.m., state police said.
The Caravan then crossed the median into the westbound lane and hit a 2001 Ford Taurus head-on.
Mills was taken to Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. He was pronounced dead at 9:58 a.m., state police said.
The driver of the Taurus, who was not identified, was airlifted to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn.
Mills was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
