Man sought after Lexington robbery, clerk assault

Lexington police are investigating the Thursday night robbery of the Subway restaurant at 137 East Reynolds Road.

Around 8:30 p.m., a man came into the restaurant, locked the door behind him, assaulted the clerk, grabbed money from the cash register and then fled on foot, police said. The man implied that he had a weapon.

Police are looking for a 6-foot male, weighing about 175 pounds. He wore black pants and a black-and-gray camouflage hoodie, and a covering over his nose and mouth.
