One man died and another was injured after a crash in Knox County Monday afternoon.
The driver, John F. Mills, 77, of Pineville, died after being flown from the scene of the crash -- about seven miles north of Barbourville on Ky. 229 -- to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, state police said.
A passenger in Mills' vehicle, Mike Mays, 55, of Pineville, was also flown to UK, where he was listed in fair condition Tuesday night.
Neither man had been wearing a seat belt.

Mills was driving south when he lost control in a curve. The vehicle went over an embankment and overturned, state police said.
