United Way of the Bluegrass has named Sarah Mills interim president following the resignation of Kathy Plomin this week for personal reasons. Mills currently serves on the group's executive committee. Because of the recession, the United Way is laying off four employees, cutting $300,000 from its budget and reducing the amount that it gives to area agencies.
