Police investigate death of Rowan 2-year-old

State police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy from Rowan County.

Tiea Jones, the mother of Juv Jones, found the boy unresponsive at their residence on Barber Road in Clearfield, state police said.

Juv was taken to St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, where he was pronounced dead by Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt at 11:41 a.m. state police said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
