Collision on Old Frankfort Pike kills Woodford woman

A head-on collision on Old Frankfort Pike near Alexandria Drive killed a Woodford County woman and injured three people on Thursday afternoon, according to Lexington police.

The woman was pronounced dead at University of Kentucky Hospital. She was 32. Her name was withheld until her relatives could be notified.

At about 2 p.m., Madeline Dott, 22, of Waddy, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban away from Lexington when the vehicle swerved over the center line. It struck a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by Daniel Conrad, 28, of Lexington.

The Suburban belongs to Three Chimneys Farm, police said.

The woman who died was riding in the front seat of Conrad's car. The two others in the car and Dott all were injured.

Neither alcohol nor drugs is suspected as a factor in the crash.
