Motorcycle wreck kills 21-year-old

A 21-year-old Jessamine County man died Thursday night after his motorcycle struck a Jeep at Palumbo and Blake James drives, Lexington police said.

Brandon Kelso was pronounced dead about 8:45 p.m. at University of Kentucky Hospital, according to a Fayette County coroner's report.

The motorcyclist was traveling west on Palumbo Drive about 8:05 p.m. when a Jeep Cherokee driven by Bryan E. Lee, 32, of Lexington, pulled in front of the motorcycle.

Lee, who received minor injuries, was trying to make a left turn, Lexington police said. The motorcycle struck the driver's side of the Jeep, and the driver was thrown onto the street.
