The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Friday it has awarded $49.9 million to the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority for improvements to wastewater projects.
The money comes from the federal stimulus program and will go to a state program that provides low-interest loans for wastewater projects.
Nationwide, the EPA will dole out $4 billion for such projects.
