Remains found in burned car of Mason Co. graduate

Human remains have been found in Utah in a burned car belonging to a former Mason County High School student who has been missing since last week.

The car belonging to Zachary Ruble was found, on fire, in a remote location in southern Utah on Thursday, authorities said.

Ruble, the son of James and Paula Ruble of Maysville, is a freshman at the University of Utah. He is a 2008 graduate of Mason County High School.

The car thought to be owned by Ruble was found burning near Zion National Park, a place that Ruble liked to visit for hiking and climbing.

Ruble's family has not heard from him since April 1.

Utah authorities have requested dental records from the family, according to the Maysville newspaper.

A prayer vigil was held at Maysville's First Christian Church on Sunday night.
