A Corbin man was allegedly driving while impaired when he crashed into a state-police cruiser Thursday, state police said in a news release.
Travis Blevins, 27, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, failure to maintain insurance and not wearing a seat belt.
The wreck happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Master Street in Corbin. Trooper Clyde Wells, 47, was stopped in traffic in his unmarked Ford Crown Victoria when Blevins, driving a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, turned across the center line and hit the police car, according to the news release.
Blevins was not hurt. Wells was treated at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin and released.
