A 33-year-old Somerset man died Thursday in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 27, near the Pulaski-McCreary county line.
Bryan C. Erp of 5115 Beechwood Drive, Somerset, who had to be extricated from his vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Pulaski County sheriff's office.
The accident occurred just before 5:23 p.m. about 15 miles south of Somerset when a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck being driven northbound on U.S. 27 by Erp left a travel lane of the roadway and struck the rear of a 1991 Ford pickup that was stopped in an emergency lane.
Erp's truck continued on and crossed a ditch line and struck a rock wall, the sheriff's office said.
