A 78-year-old Berea man died at the University of Kentucky Hospital Saturday after being involved in a three-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.
Elbert Fraley was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck north on Menelaus Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with the Berea bypass, Ky. 956, at 2:37 p.m., Berea police said.
Fraley's truck was hit in the passenger side by a 2006 Pontiac Vibe that was heading west on the bypass. The truck overturned and came to rest on the front of a 2007 Toyota Corolla that had stopped at the stop sign while headed south on Menelaus Road.
Fraley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the truck. He was taken to St. Joseph Berea, and then transferred to UK, where he was pronounced dead at 6:02 p.m.
