Police are searching for a Berea man indicted last week on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
Investigators say Gerald Jones, 42, received numerous images and videos containing children engaged in various forms of sexually explicit conduct. He is also accused of being involved in an indoor marijuana-growth operation.
A Madison County grand jury indicted Jones Thursday on the child pornography charges and on four counts of cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and being a persistent felony offender.
The Office of the Attorney General's Cybercrimes Unit and the Berea Police department are investigating the case. Investigators say Jones might have fled. He was last seen in a white, mid-sized pick-up truck. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Jones is urged to contact the Office of the Attorney General at 1-866-524-3672 or the Berea Police department at (859) 986-8456.
