Students at Eastern Kentucky University's Model Laboratory School received 15 laptop computers Monday as part of a program that helps close the digital divide among youth in Kentucky.
ConnectKentucky's Computers for Kids program provided the lab with the computers, donated by the AT&T Foundation. ConnectKentucky is an alliance of technology-minded businesses, government entities and universities that work together to accelerate technology in the state.
Model Lab administrators will use the computers in the school's laptop loan program, which helps homebound students complete assignments if they are sick or injured.
