A Fayette County grand jury indicted the man accused of fatally shooting his ex-boyfriend in the Lexington Green parking lot last month.
Toby Ray Lasure was indicted on charges of murder, wanton endangerment, fleeing police and leaving the scene of an accident in relation to the shooting death of Christopher Tolliver, 31.
Police say Lasure, 31, shot Tolliver twice on March 5 in the parking lot of The Mall at Lexington Green, off Nicholasville Road. Lasure led police on a chase that ended with a three-hour standoff at The Ridge Behavioral Health System, a psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment center at 3050 Rio Dosa Drive, near Man o' War Boulevard.
Police say Lasure spoke with investigators after the shooting and confessed several times. He allegedly said Tolliver told him "hurtful things."
