A dispatcher for the Harrodsburg Police Department is free on bond after he was charged Tuesday night with first-degree sexual abuse.
Nathaniel Keith Wesley, 31, of Harrodsburg is accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-girl in Danville on March 3 and 4, said Danville Assistant Police Chief Tony Gray.
Kentucky State Police served the arrest warrant on Wesley at his Harrodsburg home.
Wesley was lodged in the Boyle County jail shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was released shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday after posting 10 percent of a $5,000 bond.

Harrodsburg Police Chief Ernie Kelty Jr. said in a written statement that Wesley has been "suspended with pay until this case has been resolved."
"Pending the outcome of the case it will be determined if further action will be taken by the Harrodsburg Police Department," Kelty said in the release.
Kelty also said in the release that Wesley went to the Harrodsburg police department Wednesday morning, spoke with a communications supervisor and told her that the allegation is not true.
Wesley is scheduled to appear in Boyle District Court on May 26.
