High spirits at High Hope

The 43rd annual High Hope Steeplechase was held at the Kentucky Horse Park Sunday.
As usual, there were four National Steeplechase Association-sanctioned races and a flat race for the North American Racing Academy’s jockey school students.

But kids and dogs got into the action as well, with races for terriers and “lurching dogs” and children carrying stick horses.

Proceeds benefit the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation, and other local equine charities.
