Transylvania students, faculty and staff gathered for the dedication of the Transylvania University Community Garden Monday. Twenty students took the four-week Garden of Transylvania class, and invited others to join them in growing the garden, off Bourbon Avenue in Lexington. In class, students discussed the sociology, philosophy, horticulture and community of a group garden, in addition to hands-on gardening skills such as testing soil and tending to the garden.
