There's a new source of information for developments in Kentucky's public education system.
On Monday, Kentucky Education Commissioner Terry Holliday launched his own blog, designed to share "insight, information" and "thoughts and concerns" about education across the state.
Called "Doc H's Blog," it is hosted through Blogger. It can be accessed at http://kyedcommissioner.blogspot.com and also can be seen on the Kentucky Department of Education's Web site, www.education.ky.gov/KDE.
Visitors to the blog may comment on Holliday's blog posts or leave messages.
Education department spokeswoman Lisa Gross said Holliday intends to post something about once a week, or as often as his busy work schedule allows.
Holliday, who was named state education commissioner last month, said at the time that he would use a blog, as well as social networking sites, to keep in touch with Kentucky citizens. In addition to the blog, he makes posts to Twitter (kycommissioner) and has a Facebook page.
