One person died and four were injured in a crash in Montgomery County Sunday afternoon.
A 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier was southbound on Ky. 213 in Jeffersonville when the driver lost control, left the right side of the road, then overcorrected and went into the northbound lane, hitting a 2005 Dodge Neon just before 5 p.m., said Sgt. Ralph Charles of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.
The passenger in the Neon, Christina Smith, 35, of Jeffersonville, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt, Charles said.
Her husband, Rocky Smith, 37, who had been driving, was taken to the University of Kentucky and was in fair condition Monday evening.
