Two people died, and six were injured in a crash in Woodford County on Sunday night.
The names of those killed and the names of most of the injured, have not been released.
A Chevrolet S-10 pickup was headed south on Shannon Run Road near Dry Ridge Road when the driver crossed the center line and hit a northbound Ford Expedition head-on just before 7 p.m., according to the Versailles Police Department. The Expedition landed on the shoulder of the road on its roof; the Chevy spun around and stopped in the road.
The male driver and a passenger in the Chevy were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third passenger in the Chevy, along with all five occupants of the Expedition, were taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital.
"They think everybody is probably going to make it," Versailles police spokesman Pat Melton said Monday afternoon.
The driver of the Expedition has been identified as Cindy Gaines of Versailles, who was in fair condition at UK on Monday night. She and the four other women in the Expedition were on their way to play bingo at the time of the crash, Melton said.
He said he thinks all of the women live in Versailles, although two of them had identification indicating that they are from Michigan.
The occupants of both vehicles had to be removed via mechanical means, and police say alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.
