An 18-year-old man was in serious condition at the University of Kentucky Hospital Monday evening after falling from an embankment near Lake Cumberland.
Anthony Bullock of Somerset was walking near a guardrail on River Bluff Drive in Bronston when he slipped and fell over a 50-foot embankment at about 3:20 a.m. Monday, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.
Bullock called a friend who contacted authorities. He was found by emergency workers on a rock creek bed near the shore of the lake.
After receiving treatment at the scene, he was taken by boat to the Burnside Marina, then taken to Burnside Island State Park via ambulance. From there, he was taken by helicopter to UK.
